Call to Prayer

Today marks the beginning of our tracks!!! Yes!  Finally!!

As part of our first day of leadership track, we were asked to partner off and figure out some way that we could serve Adventures in Missions.  My partner, Kevin, and I spent our discussion time trying to figure out the biggest needs that AIM may have.  Two things that kept coming to mind were prayer and fundraising.  Everyone involved with AIM from staff, to apprentices, to long-term missionaries, and anyone currently on the field goes through the process of fundraising.  Simply put, without fundraising, this organization that we all love would not be able to exist.

So, right now, you’re asking yourself why this may apply to you or thinking that I’m about to ask you to donate.  Surprise!  I am asking you to do something, but it requires a different type of currency that is just as valuable: your time.

THE CHALLENGE: When you are finished reading this blog post, would you send up a prayer on behalf of everyone involved at Adventures that God would provide, help everyone meet deadlines, and blow our minds with his faithfulness?

See, that was painless.  While sending up one 10 second prayer about this may seem like a trivial thing, if 25, 50, 100, or 1000 people all do that, think of the incredible outcomes that we could have.  Fundraising is challenging but it also leaves the door open for amazing things to happen.  I’ve heard of squadmates who go from having essentially nothing in their accounts to fully funded in the process of a few days.  One common stumbling block within the fundraising process is to believe that it is impossible.  As we’ve been told, nothing is impossible with God and even the word itself says “I’m possible.”

You’ve successfully read through this post.  Would you send up a prayer?  Also, I would love for you to leave a comment to say that you prayed to help encourage those who are struggling with raising funds?
